NoLift Terms of Use
Version 1.1 — 16 October 2026
Key points: NoLift is a supplementary alarm that detects phone movement. It is not insurance, a personal or property security service, a monitored response service, or a guarantee against theft. A credit starts one hour of access to arming and disarming immediately when used. Protection successfully armed during that hour may continue afterwards until disarmed or interrupted by the device.
§ 1. Operator and documents
NoLift is operated and supplied by Daniel Dobrowolski, trading as ADAKS MEDIA DANIEL DOBROWOLSKI, Mściszów 112B, 59-800 Lubań, Poland, tax ID PL6152062671. Contact and complaints: adaks.media@gmail.com. These Terms cover the phone app and Apple Watch companion within the features available on each platform. Data is addressed in the Privacy Policy. Purchases are also subject to applicable store terms. You can save or print this document free of charge before contracting.
§ 2. Features
NoLift allows you to configure detection profiles, arm and disarm protection, signal movement and alarms, use available sounds and notifications, view history and — after enabling relevant options and granting permissions — take and export alarm photos. A supported Apple Watch provides protection status, alarm information and selected remote commands. Support for other watches or bands may be limited to forwarding phone notifications.
The app does not locate or recover a stolen phone, identify an offender or automatically contact the police, emergency services or a security company. Movement detection does not establish that a theft has occurred. “Active” describes the app’s state, not a guarantee that property is safe.
§ 3. Technical requirements and limitations
You need a compatible phone and operating system version specified in the current store listing, working sensors, appropriate app configuration and sufficient power. On iPhone, the relevant protection mode requires Guided Access to be configured and enabled. Photo, watch and background features depend on the platform and hardware. We do not promise identical functionality on iOS and Android.
Internet access is needed, among other things, for loading ads, purchases and verification, time checks for limits, updates and the other-app catalogue. Movement detection itself may work locally when the required access is already active and other conditions are met. Watch connectivity is managed by device systems; NoLift does not guarantee a continuous background communication channel or detection of every physical separation.
Detection and alerts may be delayed, interrupted or unavailable, for example because of shutdown or restart, the system closing the app, low battery, power management, volume, audio routing, permissions, Focus modes, system restrictions, connectivity or faults. Camera obstruction and lighting may prevent a useful photo. Not every movement will necessarily be detected, and false alarms may occur. These limitations do not remove the duty to supply an app that conforms to the contract.
§ 4. Contract formation and termination
A contract for free features is formed when you start using them after these Terms have been made available. A paid feature contract is formed through purchase confirmation in the relevant store under the offer presented there. No NoLift account is required. A minor must involve a parent or guardian in use and purchases where required by law or store rules.
You may stop using and uninstall the app. This does not automatically create a refund entitlement, but does not restrict withdrawal rights, complaints or other statutory rights. Before deleting data, consider the local credit and photo arrangements in §§ 5 and 8. Lack of active access may prevent a new arming; it does not prevent disarming protection.
§ 5. Credits, ads and hourly access
Using a credit immediately consumes one credit and starts one hour during which you can arm and disarm as often as you wish. The hour does not wait for your first arming. Arming again does not extend it. After it ends, a new arming requires further access. Already armed protection does not end solely because that hour has elapsed; it continues to depend on the device operating. Restarting the operating system may end the active hourly window.
Under the free option, fully watching an ad, with the reward confirmed by the provider, may add one credit. Up to 3 such credits can be earned each day. New advertising credits can be banked while the total balance is below 3. This limit does not remove credits already held and does not prevent adding a purchased pack. Unused credits have no expiry date, but remain local data.
After the daily credit-earning limit has been used and the balance is zero, another available ad may immediately start an hour of access instead of adding a credit. It does not extend an already active hour. The available option and its effect are explained before the ad. The app verifies time and limits; changing the phone date does not entitle you to an additional reward.
Ads require advertising network availability, internet access and compliance with privacy requirements. Closing an ad before earning the reward, lack of an ad or provider errors may result in no credit or hour being awarded. Tapping the button alone does not award a reward. We do not guarantee a fixed number or continuous availability of ads. You may nevertheless report an incorrectly accounted reward.
Your balance is stored on your device and is not an online account. Data deletion, reinstallation, or losing or changing the phone may make automatic credit restoration technically impossible. “Restore purchases” does not reconstruct a lost balance from already consumed or completed consumable purchases. We do not provide credit synchronisation or transfers between iOS and Android. Keep your purchase confirmation. You may complain about lost purchased credits; remedies for non-delivery or lack of conformity remain available.
§ 6. Paid products and Premium
The offer may include a 30-credit pack and lifetime Premium access. These are one-time purchases, not automatically renewing subscriptions. The product description, scope and final tax-inclusive price shown by the store before confirmation apply. Currency, price and availability may vary by country. The operator does not collect payment card details.
A credit pack provides the corresponding number of hourly access activations under § 5; it does not grant lifetime Premium. Premium allows protection features to be used without watching ads or consuming credits. Premium does not guarantee theft prevention or the availability of connectivity or third-party services.
“Lifetime” means access to the purchased features for an indefinite period, without further charges for that access. It does not promise compatibility with all future devices or include every separate future product. It does not entitle the operator arbitrarily to withdraw paid features or stop providing them without respecting purchasers’ rights. Duties concerning conformity, required updates and any applicable financial remedies continue to apply.
Restoring Premium requires the appropriate account and rules of the same store, provided the store confirms the entitlement. We do not provide purchase transfers between stores. Purchased credits are consumables with different restoration arrangements, described in § 5. Report a purchase that was not delivered; do not repurchase merely to check it.
§ 7. Withdrawal and conformity
A consumer entering into a distance contract generally has 14 days from contract formation to withdraw without giving a reason. Send an unambiguous statement to the operator’s postal or email address in § 1. You may also use the store’s available procedure; it is not the only way to exercise statutory rights.
For paid digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, loss of that right is possible only when all statutory conditions are met: supply has started with the consumer’s prior express consent, the consumer was informed beforehand of the loss of the right and acknowledged it, and the required contract confirmation was provided. The exception for performance of a service also requires full performance under the statutory conditions. Purchase, installation, use of a credit or these Terms alone do not replace required statements and do not automatically establish loss of the right.
Following valid withdrawal, payments due for reimbursement are refunded without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receipt of the withdrawal statement, using the original payment method unless otherwise lawfully agreed. The store may handle the technical refund process.
The operator is responsible for supplying digital content or services that conform to the contract, including required updates. In the event of non-conformity, you may request conformity and, where the law permits, a price reduction or withdrawal. Statutory rules on the burden of proof, time limits and free remedies remain unchanged. Statutory protection also applies, to the extent provided by law, to natural persons entering into certain business-related contracts that are not professional in nature for them.
§ 8. Photos, history and responsible use
NoLift history and photos are local. Standard retention is up to 14 days from an event, with removal during subsequent app operations; photos may be deleted earlier depending on how the alarm ends and your choices. History is not a permanent archive or evidence storage service. You can delete events and selected photos. Exported copies in the photo library are not deleted with NoLift history and may be synchronised by the system.
Use the app on a device you are lawfully entitled to control. Do not use it to unlawfully capture people’s images, monitor others, harass anyone, invade privacy or bypass security or payment mechanisms. Do not send unlawful content to the operator. Before taking or sharing photos, consider third-party rights and any applicable notice requirements. The app does not determine whether a particular use is lawful.
Before arming, check configuration, volume, power and operation on your own device. A loud alarm may cause disturbance or harm if used inappropriately, especially near ears. Do not rely on NoLift as the sole protection for particularly valuable property or use it for life, health or safety-critical applications. Do not take dangerous action based solely on an alarm.
§ 9. Licence
Within your access entitlement and the applicable store terms, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the app on compatible devices for permitted purposes. Rights in the app, branding and materials remain with the operator or relevant rights holders. We do not permit credit resale, distribution of app copies, intellectual property infringement or interference with app security, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be restricted. Using NoLift does not transfer rights in your photos to us.
On Apple devices, licensing is governed by Apple’s Standard EULA, unless a custom EULA applicable to NoLift has actually been made available through the App Store. These Terms supplement applicable conditions without overriding mandatory store rules or consumer rights. Apple is not a party to the contract with the operator. Direct NoLift support requests and claims to the operator, without prejudice to your rights against the store.
§ 10. Liability — all users
Use and outcomes
The operator exercises due care in preparing and maintaining the app. No additional guarantee is given of uninterrupted or entirely error-free operation, compatibility with every future device, or an outcome dependent on the user, third parties or circumstances outside the operator’s control. Users must follow instructions, independently verify information material to their decisions and use appropriate safeguards and backups. An adverse outcome alone does not establish liability; it is assessed under applicable law, considering the breach, damage and causal link.
Consumers and other protected individuals
These Terms do not exclude statutory conformity duties for digital content or services, required updates, complaint handling, withdrawal, refunds or any other rights that cannot lawfully be restricted. Protection for natural persons entering into certain business-related contracts that are not professional in nature for them applies within its statutory scope. Professional-B2B limitations do not apply to them within that protected scope.
Additional limitations for professional B2B only
Only for a user contracting in connection with a business or profession who is not entitled to consumer protection in the relevant matter, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator’s contractual liability for unintentionally caused damage is excluded. To the same extent, liability is excluded for lost profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, downtime, data loss and restoration costs, and consequences of unauthorised use or use contrary to instructions. Merely supplying company details does not determine whether this provision applies.
No exclusion covers intentionally caused damage, personal injury or liability that cannot lawfully be restricted. It does not exclude refunds legally due to the user or data-protection rights and duties that cannot be limited by contract. The operation of an independent external service does not itself create an additional guarantee of that service, but does not remove the operator’s own duties. A provision conflicting with mandatory law is not binding to that extent.
§ 11. Additional limitations for professional B2B only
Section 10 sets out the additional exclusions for professional B2B. They do not apply to consumers or individuals covered by applicable statutory protection, and do not alter conformity duties, statutory refunds or liability that cannot lawfully be restricted.
§ 12. Complaints and support
Send complaints to the email or postal address in § 1. Describe the issue, app and system versions, event date and requested remedy. For purchases, transaction confirmation without full payment details is useful. Missing information does not remove statutory rights; we may ask for information necessary to investigate.
We respond to consumer complaints on a durable medium, such as email, within 14 days of receipt unless a specific legal provision requires another period. Statutory consequences of failing to respond remain applicable. A store refund request is an additional procedure and does not replace complaints against the party responsible under the law.
§ 13. Updates, changes and availability
We provide updates required to maintain conformity under applicable law. Install available security updates and read the instructions. Failure to update does not release the operator from liability except where the law permits.
Changes beyond maintaining conformity may be required to comply with changed laws, address specific abuse or security threats, or accommodate necessary changes to operating system or store interfaces. This does not confer an unrestricted right to alter the service. Such changes apply only to supplies and circumstances where the law permits; they do not unilaterally alter digital content supplied on a one-off basis and must not impose additional costs.
We explain changes clearly. If a change materially and adversely affects access to or use of digital content or a digital service, we provide advance information on a durable medium about the change, its date and statutory rights. Where the law provides, you may terminate without notice within 30 days of the change or later notification, unless continued use of an unchanged conforming version is provided free of charge. Publishing revised Terms alone does not remove acquired rights. Material processing changes requiring consent are handled separately.
§ 14. Governing law and disputes
Polish law applies. This choice does not deprive a consumer of protection under mandatory provisions of the country of their habitual residence where those provisions apply. Jurisdiction is determined by applicable law; consumers are not required to bring proceedings exclusively where the operator is based.
You may seek help from a competent consumer adviser, the European Consumer Centre or an appropriate alternative dispute resolution body. Information about Polish procedures is provided by UOKiK. The operator’s participation in a voluntary procedure requires consent unless participation is required by law. This does not restrict access to the courts. Differences between the Polish and English versions must not reduce your rights; ambiguities are resolved under applicable consumer protection rules.
